There is also a lot of ancient knowledge about herbs and their effects. Herbal essences, schnapps, herbal salt and pickles are the products here.

Smoked meat should not be missing on any snack platter in Carinthia. That is why bacon, sausages and more smoked meat are still smoked in old smokers with good wood and leaves. In many kitchens and bakeries, bread is baked from their own grain according to hundreds of different recipes, and that's how it tastes! A beer, which a small local brewery delivers, goes best with a snack.

Of course, there is also the famous "Carinthian noodle" in the Gailtal valley with a wide variety of fillings: from hearty with potatoes, bacon, curd cheese and mint to dessert noodle with Gailtal poppy seeds and alpine honey.
